A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping.

A funeral service at All Saints’ Church may be very short and quiet with only a few family members present, or an occasion with music, hymns and a packed church.

Arranging a funeral

If you would like one of the clergy team at All Saints’ Church to take the service, please contact the rector, Stuart Lewis before any other funeral arrangements are made, to make sure that All Saints’ Church and a priest is available.

Everyone is entitled to either a funeral or to have their ashes buried in their local parish churchyard by their local parish priest.   The graveyard at All Saints’ church is closed and the grounds maintained by Harrogate borough council. The village cemetery is located on Follifoot Lane.  To make enquiries about a funeral, burial or a burial of ashes, please email:  [email protected] or tel:  01423 733341.
