Friends of All Saints’

The Friends of All Saints’ role is to generate income to maintain and restore the church building, which costs approximately £12,000 per annum. Over the last few years, The Friends have run a number of social events, raising fantastic funds for All Saints’ Church.

  • The organisation has charitable status.
  • Membership is open to everyone.

As residents of Kirkby Overblow village, our wish is to nurture and enhance the spirit of life that has always been at the heart of this community.

Unlike other villages, our predecessors in Kirkby Overblow never built a village hall, so a few years ago, we had a vision to develop the church premises into a building that can be used for both inspiring worship and community-wide activities, and it was from this vision that “Friends of All Saints’ Church” was formed.

After extensive research, consultation and planning first phase building work was started in Jan 2010 and completed in April 2010.  The outcome is a wonderful space suitable for different styles of worship and for a broader range of community activities. This first phase would not have been possible without the financial generosity and time given by so many who live in or who have links to our village and Church.

The Future….

As the use of All Saints Church building increases we would ideally like better facilities to support all the new activities.  We aim to increase the size and range of accommodation of our new communal centre by building a further meeting room,  toilets, storage rooms, a proper kitchen and a link corridor to the church building.

All donations and pledges, however large or small, are most welcome.  If you would like to make a donation, please make your cheque payable to:  All Saints’ Church Appeal.
